Just like in respected Alberta communities such as Calgary’s University District, Redwood Meadows, and the Town of Banff, Taza Park is a long-term leasehold community where you own your home and hold property rights. The land is owned by the Crown on behalf of the Tsuut’ina Nation, and all homes are sold under a prepaid lease (meaning no ongoing lease payments) through to the year 2114. As the lease nears its end, homeowners can feel confident knowing that secure, well-considered options will be determined by the Nation: Extend the lease for a minimum of 25 years, with homeowners contributing their share of the extension rent, or The Nation may purchase the buildings at market value, with homeowners receiving their proportionate share of compensation. In either case, homeowners can feel assured their interests are thoughtfully supported.
