Though creating communities is the core of our work and the essence of our corporate culture, our commitment to community extends beyond that. We care deeply about the areas in which we work, believe in giving back in any way we can, and our team passionately embraces the cause with enthusiasm, personal ownership, and pride.

In honor of April being National Volunteer Month, we’re excited to share our team’s most recent involvement with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver through Brookfield Cares. Brookfield Cares aims to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate by using both our financial and human resources to help enrich the lives of those in need within the area.

This month, team members from our IT, Architecture, Land, Customer Care, and Construction departments in Denver all showed up to help repaint a house for a couple in the community. As part of Habitat Metro Denver’s Exterior Home Repair Program, the team spent the day scraping old paint, patching and making fixes where needed, and repainting the outside of the home. The end result? A home that looks brand new and very happy homeowners.

While it may have been the first time our team worked with Habitat for Humanity, it certainly won’t be our last! We’ve always been community-focused, passionate about doing the right thing, and giving back. Through Brookfield Cares, we have the opportunity to show up as one Brookfield team and make an even greater impact in the community by working together.
