2016 Family Friendly Parks in Orange County Brookfield

Meet up with friends for a pick-up game at the park. Let your little ones imagination run wild on the playground. Go for a nice, relaxing stroll through beautiful greenery. There’s a park in Orange County for whichever outdoor adventure you’re seeking. Check out this list of our favorite parks in the area.

Discover a park brimming with lemon trees and a fun citrus theme at Citrus Ranch Park in Tustin. The park offers a tot lot right across from a larger playground, leaving plenty of room for kids to play. There are bike paths around the park to enjoy. Walk up to Vista Point for stunning views of the surrounding area or enjoy a picnic at one of the many tables available to visitors.

Whether you prefer playing soccer, basketball or baseball, Lake Forest Sports Park has a field waiting for you to play on. This park has a variety of courts and fields so many different groups can start a game at the same time. The park also offers some gorgeous scenic wildlife trails and completely shaded tot lots.

Make your kids day by surprising them with a trip to Dinosaur Park in Laguna Hills. This fossil-themed playground features a man-made whale fossil built for climbing on. Concrete stone turtle fountains let children cool off from the summer heat. Saber-tooth footprints lead right to a safari jeep and are next to a wall where little ones can seek out fossilized shells and concrete cave walls.

For a different type of park, head over to the Orange County Great Park in Irvine. This ginormous park offers a host of activities, events and plenty of room to stretch out. Get your produce at the local farmers’ market held within the park or take a class about growing produce at the Food Lab. Let the kids ride the carousel in a different area of the park. Take a free hot air balloon ride Thursday through Saturday. Learn more about local artists at the Palm Courts Art Complex or take an art class.

All of these beautiful parks are a short drive from our Orange County homes, so stop on by before you head out for the day. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
