The Southern California rental market can be a challenging place for aspiring homebuyers. After renting in the La Jolla area for years, surviving rent increases and remodels, George and Rhoda, along with their 4-year-old daughter, decided it was time to find a home of their own. With the help of the Prado sales team, George and Rhoda were able to swiftly navigate the home buying process. “The sales team was there every step of the way,” recalls Rhoda.

During the construction of their new home, the family was surprised by how many of the pre-selected features they loved. “It was actually exactly what my wife would have chosen,” George tell us. “We ended up choosing the flooring, shutters and carpet. When we saw the final product, we were amazed. Especially the kitchen and the master bathroom. It was perfect!”

Even though they enjoyed being involved in the design process, the most memorable part of the experience for the family was the final walkthrough. It was then that they realized what it truly meant to be first-time homeowners.

Being in a new home means more to George and Rhoda than they ever imagined. They love spending quality time together at their large kitchen island cooking or coloring with their daughter, and they can’t wait to make use of all the community amenities.
