We had another amazing weekend in Whitby! We just hosted our second big event of the summer at Dockside in Whitby, Whitby’s new lakefront destination. Dockside is our event space in Whitby Harbour, on the shores of Lake Ontario. (Did you miss the details about our first summer event, Dockside Cinema? Check out the blog post about that here!)

This past Saturday, we hosted Dockside Fest, and an amazing time was had by all! Hundreds of families and friends from Whitby and across the entire Durham Region came together for an incredible evening of fun and community.

Dockside Fest featured live music all night long, with amazing performances from Aria Dawn, Patrick Dorie, Charlie the Kid and popular headliners Birds of Bellwoods. Guests enjoyed delicious food from local food trucks (Buster’s Sea Cove, the Great Canadian Food Truck and an ice cream truck), tasty local craft beer from Town Brewery, creative cocktails from Tipsy Turny Trailer served out of their adorable trailer, mouth-watering “boozesicles” from Revel Indulgence, all kinds of activities and lawn games (including jumbo-sized Jenga, beer pong, inflatable axe throwing, bouncy inflatables for kids and more), a pop-up marketplace with local vendors, fitness challenges from Orangetheory Fitness Whitby, massage chairs for free massages, free eyebrow waxes from Fuzz Wax Bar, tons of fun photo ops including a special photo booth, giveaways and more. It was a perfect event for families and date nights alike, with something for everyone. The weather was perfect and the energy all night long was electric. The Whitby community turned up with enthusiasm and smiles all around, and helped make the event a great success!
