Tools & Tips for Success

At Brookfield Residential, we’re interested in helping candidates know what to expect from our interview process. That’s why we’re pleased to share the following tips so you can be successful in any interview – whether with us or another company.

Some tips to help ace the interview | Brookfield Residential
  • Before the interview, review the job posting and practice giving a high level overview of your most relevant experience and education.
  • Be prepared to recognize behavioral interview questions, which ask for a specific example from your experience (e.g. “Tell us about a time when…”)
  • Practice answering these type of questions using the following format: Context, Action and Result (C.A.R.). Briefly explain the situation, the actions you took, and the outcome.
  • If you need a moment to recall your best example, pause and take a sip of water!
