We were on the hunt for the best dessert places in Orange County, California that are close to our new homes! Here’s our top 5 list. Enjoy!

The Dessert Lab in Newport Beach is redefining sweets! The shop, located on MacArthur Blvd. near the University of California, Irvine campus features weekly in-store selections like s’mores cheesecake, mini-crème brulee tart and chocolate mousse cups – plus, vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free options. Trust us, it’s definitely worth it.

Frozen treats are what they’re serving up at Spatel Desserts on Chapman Avenue in Orange. We can’t believe how many flavors they have for their Italian ice – from root beer, sour apple and pineapple to horchata and blue raspberry. They also feature ice cream, frozen yogurt and custard.

Mochilato in Irvine is open late and dishing out well-priced fusion desserts like mochi, cream puffs with gelato, mochilato waffles (mocha plus gelato), macarons, shaved ice and more.

That blended lavender latte is a local’s favorite over at Milk and Honey on Bristol Street in Costa Mesa! And you’ll love their fro-yo parfait, shaken iced tea, honey aloe lemonade, acai bowl and stylish ambiance.

Chunk-N-Chip at 4th Street Market in Santa Ana is mixing up cookies and ice cream in a way that’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before! Their cookie culinary creations have pretty cool names too – like Butter My Velvet, The Elvis, Gilligan’s Island and Bahama Mama.
